About the Police Department

The Burlington Police Department serves a population of just over 4,200 citizens. They have seven authorized officers, one Neighborhood Services officer, and a support staff of one civilian employee.

Burlington Police Department has a mission to deliver high-quality, professional police services to Burlington’s citizens and visitors every day. The department’s philosophy lends itself to a highly-trained and competent staff that is innovative in its approach to crime control, traffic safety, and improving the quality of life for Burlington citizens.
