Prairie Daze


 


Prairie Daze is an old fashioned, fun filled event for the whole family. The date is set for Saturday, June 19th 2010 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Regular admission prices apply.

 

Adults: $ 6.00
 
Seniors 60 and Over: $ 5.00
 
Students 12-17: $ 4.00
 
Children 3-11: $ 3.00
 
Under 3: Free
 

There will be a horseshoe tournament with a $ 10.00 entry fee, games for the kids including the sack race, 3 legged race and the shoe scramble, pie eating contest, cake walk, piñata, line dancing, sand treasure hunt, dunking tank (come sink your buddy!), petting zoo ($ 1.00 per ticket will enter you to win the pigs from the petting zoo – just be sure you have a place to care for the pigs), rug rat rodeo (kids bring your own stick horse), tug of war, roping practice (rope the roping steer head), chalk walk, garage sale (from 9 AM to 12 PM) and genealogy workshop (2 PM to 4 PM).

Come tap your toes or even dance (if you dare!) to live music.

Lunch will be provided by Camp Cook Concessions. Deb will be preparing her famous Mexican food, grill items such as hamburgers and polish dogs, fries, fried okra, chicken strips, and more! There is a fee for lunch and it will be served from 11 AM to 2 PM.

The big event of the day will be the WATER FIGHT at the end of the day! Bring your own water gun and be prepared to get in the soaking battle of the century! Adults and kids are welcome to participate. The bigger the soaker, the better!

 

The Volunteer Fire Department will be helping with this event.
