[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Response - Utility Disconnects Temporarily Suspended

RESPONSE TO COVID-19

UTILITY BILLING

The City of Burlington’s main priorities are to our customers, employees and all residents and visitors to our great community. As this situation is very fluid, we have partnered with Kit Carson County Office of Emergency Management and County Public Health Department in actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and have implemented measures to ensure we continue to provide essential services to our community in a manner that is safe for both consumer and employee. We have the privilege and responsibility of providing essential services to our community, and are ready and committed to serving you, our customer, today and every day.

To support our customers who may be impacted by Colorado’s response to COVID-19, the City of Burlington is temporarily suspending non-payment disconnections for our customers. We realize that due to possible extended periods of isolation, customers may face financial hardships affecting their ability to timely pay their utility bills. We offer various payment options to our customers such as, Xpress Bill Pay, Phone Payment, and payment plans. Remember, you can contact City Hall at any time to explore options at 719-346-8652.

Our focus remains our customers, and providing reliable service and safety throughout our community. We will continue to work closely with Kit Carson County Office of Emergency Management, along with State and County Public Health officials to keep you informed as this situation continues to evolve.
