COVID-19 Response - Absentee Voting

Due to the upcoming regular municipal election set for April 7, 2020 and current COVID-19 concerns, we would like to prepare in advance and encourage residents to consider applying for absentee voter ballots. 

You must complete an absentee voter form (PDF) and return the form to City Hall.  

  • Completed forms can be dropped off at City Hall in the drop box that is also used for utility payments. 
  • Completed forms can also be emailed to Becky Castillo.

Once receiving the absentee voter form, we will then mail out a ballot to be returned. The absentee voter forms must be delivered to City Hall no later than April 3, 2020 at 3 p.m.  Due to mailing time, if you are filling out an absentee voter form close to the date of election and fear it will not get to City Hall or cause delay getting the ballot back to you, City staff will be able to hand out the ballot at City Hall when you drop off your form.  Please follow the requirements of 6-foot social distance and no groups of more than 10.   You must return the sealed ballot to City Hall before April 7, 2020 to have your vote count.   Please be respectful of others and if you have symptoms or signs of illness DO NOT expose others.  We will keep you updated with any changes.
